About HHQ
With Hungry Heart Quests, you have the opportunity to learn more about the outdoors as a critical part of healing self and community. Our health coaching services complement these outdoor adventures, providing guidance on achieving overall well-being and a healthier lifestyle. Hiking with HHQ also allows for learning outdoor skills useful for hiking, backpacking, and camping in most recreational scenarios.
"Action on behalf of life transforms. Because the relationship between self and the world is reciprocal, it is not a question of first getting enlightened or saved and then acting. As we work to heal the earth, the earth heals us."--Robin Wall Kimmerer, Braiding Sweetgrass
The Vision and Mission:
With Hungry Heart Quests, my vision is to create transformative experiences in the great outdoors that ignite a hunger for learning, foster deep connections with fellow hikers and the natural world, promote holistic wellness, and cultivate profound awareness.
The Hungry Heart Quests Mission is to facilitate experiential learning, meaningful connections, holistic wellness, and profound awareness through immersive outdoor adventures.
We strive to empower individuals to explore their inner landscapes, while nurturing a deep appreciation for the natural world. Together, we embark on a quest to feed not only our hungry hearts but also the hearts of others, creating a ripple effect of positive change in ourselves and the world around us.

About Dawn Schwem
Hi, I'm Dawn Schwem—an adventurous artist with a passion for bringing people together and creating judgment-free spaces filled with genuine care and fun. Not only am I an avid hiker, but I'm also a Certified Health Coach with an academic background in Food and Nutrition. Growing up in the Montana, I developed a deep love for hiking and backpacking from an early age—a passion I continue to pursue joyfully. After receiving my degree in Food & Nutrition, working as a Health Coach in an integrative clinic, and delving into extensive studies of wellness, I have come to realized that my heart belongs to the wild forest. I firmly believe that spending time in nature is essential for human well-being. By providing expert guidance, fostering a supportive community, and facilitating transformative experiences, I aim to inspire lifelong learners, mindful adventurers, and compassionate stewards of the Earth.
For me the door to the woods is the door to the temple. — Mary Oliver, Upstream
